Government
Type of government: Parliamentary Democracy
Head of State: Monarch (Queen Elizabeth II)
Head of Government: Prime Minister (David Cameron)
Structure: The government is structured like any other Parliamentary Democracy, with the Prime Minister as the leader of the country's government, and them being chosen by if they are the leader of the majority party in Parliament. But one difference is their addition of a monarch, which in this case is only a ceremonial title, and has no real power.
Political Landscape: The government is almost exactl like any other Parliamentary Democracy, where there is a parliament, which is the main lawmaking body, and the Prime Minister is the leader of the majority party. There is one difference, which is that they have a monarch instead of a president as the head of state.
Government and the People: The people vote on the members of Parliament.
Our Take on the Government: It is an interesting and different government, in that they have a monarch even though they do not have a monarchy, and the Parliamentary Democracy form of government seems to be a fairly popular form of government, and parts of England's government have been kept by country's like Australia and Canada which were actually inspired by England's.
